Wi-Fi is one of three possible wireless transmission methods offered by ecom measuring instruments. Wi-Fi stands out for its relatively easy connection setup, its relatively long range (compared to Bluetooth), and its wide range of applications: measurement data can be transmitted to the ecom PC software (on a desktop or laptop computer) as well as to the app on a mobile device (running Apple iOS or the Google Android operating system). Measurement data can be displayed, customer addresses can be created/edited, and reports (as PDF files) can be generated. From mobile devices, PDF and CSV files can be sent by email or transferred to cloud systems. The Bluetooth connection is primarily suitable as a transmission standard in conjunction with the ecom-R remote display, which is permanently connected to the device and displays measurement data over a greater distance, allows settings to be made, and can save and print measurement data. The ecom-J2KNpro is controlled via radio remote control. Radio is the most robust transmission standard with the greatest range. The remote control can, among other things, be connected to a PC via USB to transfer measurement data directly. In addition, all settings on the measuring instrument can also be made via this connection (functions far beyond saving and printing).
